Plainfield Selectmen Put on Notice
Casey Lee Cobb / Show The Law / July 9th 2007
Bernie a friend of the Browns approaches the Plainfield selectmen in order to put them on notice of their duty under the New Hampshire constitution to provide protection to the Browns from people engaging in unlawful activities. Being that the Browns are upstanding taxpayers of the community, they are afforded this right of protection.
The selectman however have made it clear that they will not be refunding the Browns property taxes, nor will they adhere to the New Hampshire constitution by providing the protection. The selectmen are bound by their own rules to follow these laws, and are now in violation of the New Hampshire constitution as well as their own policies, regulations, and guidelines.
In response to this clear violation of contractual and legal obligation, Ed and Elaine Brown will no longer be paying the property tax to the city which is now in default of both the law, and the contract.
